Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried Facing Witness Tampering Allegations

Former CEO of FTX, Alameda Research and FTX, Sam Bankman Fried is being accused by prosecutors of trying to contact witnesses in the ongoing case. The Justice Department wants to modify his bail conditions, which would limit his access to encrypted messaging and prevent him from communicating with ex-employees of the two companies.

Bankman-Fried was the target of criticism from FTX’s CEO. However, he expressed a desire to rekindle and build a productive relationship. But, if he’s convicted, the allegations against Bankman-Fried could land him in prison for decades.

Despite his resignation from FTX’s position in November, Bankman Fried’s actions have important implications for the company that filed for bankruptcy protection during his tenure. It remains to see how the case against him progresses and what the outcome of the proceedings will be.
