Metallica Concert in Oslo: Diamond Head Guitarist Joins, Crypto Scammers Hack Account

Metallica’s M72 World Tour made a stop in Oslo on Wednesday, where fans were treated to a special performance featuring Diamond Head guitarist Brian Tatler. The collaboration included a cover of Diamond Head’s 1980 classic “Am I Evil?,” a song that Metallica famously covered in 1984 as a B-side to their “Creeping Death” single.

While the concert was a highlight for many fans, the day took a turn for the worse when Metallica’s official social media account was hacked by crypto scammers on X. The hackers used the band’s platform to promote a Solana meme coin, resulting in trading volume of over $10 million before the scam was shut down. Despite efforts to delete the fraudulent tweets, some of them remained active, causing confusion among fans and followers.

The incident serves as a reminder of the risks associated with online security and the importance of safeguarding social media accounts against unauthorized access. Metallica has not issued a statement regarding the hack, but fans have expressed their support for the band and urged others to remain vigilant against cryptocurrency scams on social media platforms.
